Yoga Classes (Frederiksberg)

Our drop-in yoga classes are unfortunately on hold for now due to social distancing restrictions. However, you can sign up for yoga classes with Manojita.

WHERE: Platanvej 30, Frederiksberg C

STYLE: Hatha / Rajadhiraja Yoga – for physical, mental and spiritual development.

Rajadhiraja Yoga is a more extensive and comprehensive form of Ashtanga Yoga, based on Patainjali’s eight-limbed structure (read more about that here). Besides a system of yoga asanas, mudras & bandhas, Rajadhiraja Yoga includes deep relaxation, self-massage, purification of the chakras, specific meditation lessons and yogic lifestyle guidelines.

The ásanas, or yoga postures, not only tone the muscles, increase flexibility and improve the posture through alignment, but they also have a profound impact on the endocrine glands, balancing the secretion of hormones and restoring psychic and emotional well-being.

The emphasis is not on vigour of execution, but on mindful positioning, proper breathing and a quiet, but persistent flow of movement, which in turn soothes the nerves and applies pressure on the relevant glands and inner organs. Thus, in Rajadhiraja Yoga one not only develops strength and flexibility, but achieves a general sense of well-being.
