Winter Solstice Party

Dec. 21 is the Winter Solstice – the longest night of the year. After this day the dark recedes and the light returns. And, depending on whether or not you put any significance on the end of the Mayan Calendar, Dec. 21 , 2012 marks the possible end of the world or the beginning of a new era.

However things turn out it seems an appropriate time for a celebration. So you are warmly invited to join us at 1730 for the following program:

1730     Circle Dancing (charming dances led by Anne Christine)

1815     Kiirtan (Chanting)

1830     Meditation

1900     Gift Giving and Sharing Inspiration

1930     Vegetarian Dinner (come help cook or bring something to share)

2030     Games, Fireworks

Looking forward to sharing this special event together.

P.S. If you’d like to bring something please remember that, as well as being vegetarian, the yoga diet excludes onion, garlic, mushrooms and eggs. Many Vegans will also be present.

P.P.S. Donations are welcome but not obligatory
